"Rise" was whelped on November 12, 2009 out of Arrow's Chukar Dog and Windridge Shasta.  Rise is a nephew of True, as Shasta is True's  littermate.  Obviously, we hope for great things from Rise.  At 8-months, Rise was fairly large, and very bold.  At 15-months, Rise is 52 lbs of solid muscle; may well reach 55 pounds at maturity, or perhaps a little more.  He runs as hard and fast as the big dogs, and he loves to compete with them at everything.  As with many youngsters, there is no apparent end to his stamina.  The MPG rating of this puppy is incredible (as have been all of our puppies).

   In addition to wrestling with the others and running, Rise' passions expanded rapidly to include birds!  He runs hard and stops hard in response to an excellent nose.  His first hunting season was excellent, although bad weather and poor timing certainly limited the opportunities for Rise to hunt ... can't wait until next year!
